Let’s be honest – this year is not at all what we expected it to be. Many of the things we look forward to every year have to change and that includes some of the major holidays that we love so much – like the 4th of July.<\/p>\n

The 4th of July has been celebrated as the birth of American independence since 1776. The holiday is usually celebrated with fireworks, family gatherings, big parades and even concerts – making it one of the most festive days of the year.<\/p>\n
On the 4th of July, the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence – considered to largely be written by Jefferson. The holiday has been largely celebrated ever since its adoption – with bonfires, firing of muskets and cannons, large parades and even public readings of the Declaration of Independence.<\/p>\n
