Last day in London before departure – You have some hours to kill before heading to the airport, but what to do? Below we have listed a number of attractions that you shouldn’t miss. We offer luggage storage close by which means you can visit these places on any day during your stay in the city.  They are all in different areas of London and at relatively low prices or even free. Whether you’re interested in art and history or shopping and dining you’ll find inspiration right here.

The Wallace Collection

The Wallace collection is a national museum with artwork collected in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by the first four Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace. The museum is located in Central London close to Bond Street.

It’s worth paying the museum a visit if you have the least interest in art. It’s a great experience for both adults and children. Exhibitions run constantly and there’s always something new to experience even if you’ve visited before. Definitely, an attraction that worth visiting.

The opening hours are 10:00 am – 05:00 pm daily.
Free admission.


The Sherlock Holmes Museum

Do you have an inner detective waiting to be let loose? The Sherlock Holmes Museum on Baker Street let you dive into the fascinating world of Sherlock Holmes in his own house. A visit to this museum will take you back in time and reveal the true story of the legend, Sherlock Holmes. You can either explore on your own or choose a tour with a guide who knows all the secrets.

The opening hours are 09:30 am – 06:00 pm every day.
Prices: £15 for adults, £10 for children. 

 


Portobello Market

Love antiques? Look no further. The largest antique market in the world, Portobello Market is located in London close to Notting Hill Gate. With more than 1,000 sellers, the antique market has something for every taste. The market contains items within every category including food, clothes, interior, you name it.

The market is open during the week but it’s a lot smaller on weekdays. If you want to get the most of the experience by visiting when most booths are open, you should go on a Saturday.

Opening hours are around 08:30 am on Saturdays and variable during the week.

Portobello Market


The Shard

…Also known as Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge and even London Bridge Tower. Nonetheless, it’s something you shouldn’t miss seeing when you visit London. It’s one of those famous building that characterizes the city with a hight of more than 300 meters and a 360- degree view of London. The Shard is not only a must-see it’s a must-experience! Inside the building you can have not only a breathtaking view, but also an amazing dinner and drinks as well. That’s not all – if you feel like doing yoga with the view of London, The Shard offers this as well. The sky is the limit at The Shard!

Opening hours are daily 10:00 am – 10:00 pm.

Exmouth Market

A must-go for all foodies. This market has the most amazing food with options for every taste buds. The closest train station is Farringdon Tube Station. When you’re done sampling great food, wine and coffee (and much more!), the market also offers a wide range of shopping opportunities. Besides being a great place for you to update your wardrobe, Exmouth Market is also known for having many talented tattoo artists – so if you’re in the mood for making your visit a permanent memory on your skin, Exmouth Market is the place to be. The atmosphere in the area is calm and welcoming and you’ll be able to spend hours here.

London Dungeons

London Dungeons takes you on a journey through 1,000 years of London history, however, it’s no ordinary attraction. It’s located close to Waterloo Station. Actors perform the history live on stage with special effects. If you want to do more than simply watch the performance, guests are actually encouraged to participate. London Dungeon is a unique opportunity to learn, experience and be amazed!

Opening hours are
Monday – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 10:00 am – 05:00 pm.
Thursday 11:00 am – 5 pm. 
Saturday 10:00 am – 06:00 pm.
