Croke Park
Croke Park is Ireland’s largest sporting arena; a Gaelic games stadium located in Dublin. It’s used by the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) to host more traditional sports such as Gaelic football and hurling. Sometimes called Croker, this sports arena is named after Archbishop Thomas Croke.
In 1913, the stadium had two stands with grassy banks all around and in the 1920s, the GAA created a high-capacity stadium in this area for those times. Today, this sporting arena has capacity for 82,300 spectators, making Croke Park the third-largest stadium in Europe.
Alongside sporting events, the arena hosts numerous music concerts throughout the year with performances by U2, Tina Turner and Beyonce among others being some of the most-visited so far.
Storing your luggage near Croke Park will allow you instant access to sporting and music events scheduled on your day of arrival and departure. It also gives you access to several Dublin tourist locations including Dublin Castle, Epic Irish Emigration Museum and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Luggage storage is also offered around several transit stations such as Busáras Station and Connolly Station and many more. If you are heading towards Dublin’s City Centre, you can make the most of your day by letting us take care of your luggage first. This will save you time so you can explore Dublin at your own pace.
LuggageHero in the press
-
"LuggageHero, which offers online booking with a credit card — thus, eliminating the need for users to have local currency on hand — is one of the most recent players to expand its services. In December the company began operating in New York, where today it has some 250 locations."
-
"One solution is LuggageHero, which was already on the scene in Copenhagen and London, and has now expanded into New York. Its selling point is that it lets you store your luggage in a local shop, café or hotel, which is often more convenient than having to go to a storage facility at a train station."
-
"LuggageHero, which Jannik Lawaetz founded in 2016, currently has more than 300 storage locations in six cities (New York, London, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona) and plans to expand to 39 cities by January 2020."
-
"LuggageHero founder and chief executive Jannik Lawaetz says that the concept was inspired by that mother of invention — necessity — and Airbnb. A couple of years ago, he and his girlfriend rented an apartment in Barcelona via the home-share service. They had a later flight on their day of departure and wanted to continue exploring the city, but didn't want to lug their suitcases around. "
