Traveling is about experiencing the best of what a new city can offer, and a great place to find inspiration is in blogs. However, it can be a jungle to navigate through the many blogs and content you can find online. Therefore, our team has scoured the internet looking for the best travel blogs in New York.

The 20 blogs that have made the final list have been selected based on 4 criteria:

• The practicality of the tips and advice
• Purpose of the blog
• Originality

In this award, you will find talented photographers, skilled writers, wanderlust addicts, foodies, family travelers, and eco-friendly travelers. Additionally, it is necessary to mention that some websites awarded are not, strictly speaking, travel blogs. However, in every case, the usefulness of their tips or their great content have convinced us to include them.

When I moved to NYC in 2007, I started writing email updates to share city experiences with friends and family. Fast forward three years later when I was on vacation in 2010, I went to Blogger (the blogging platform) and posted one of those email updates, just for fun. I needed a name and “Tracy’s New York Life” came to mind. I hit publish and closed my laptop, sending it into the abyss and not thinking about it again! Fast forward to 2011 when I revisited that one story, only to add others. I posted all those tales that I had sent via email, one by one. And so, the blog began. Over the years, this site has evolved into a New York City lifestyle and travel blog and less about my life (as it was in the first year or so), offering posts about living, food, culture, travel, and more to readers around the world. I strive to provide one of the best sources for people who are curious to learn more about New York, think they may want to make the leap and live here, visit regularly, or may never visit but continue to be infatuated with the city, the people and the lifestyle.
