The cobblestone streets of Columbia Road truly come alive during the month of December, when the more than 60 independent shops and art galleries light up with Christmas cheer for this special event. You will not be at a loss when trying to tick off some Christmas shopping, whether you’re looking for artisanal jewelry, decoration or vintage clothing. Since the season’s cheer would not be the same without Christmas carols, the singers from St. Peters Church in Bethnal Green together with local vicar Adam Atkinson and his traveling street piano make sure that this is a true winter wonderland.
