Is there a difference between left luggage and luggage storage?
Left luggage is luggage that people have left in a designated luggage locker facility. The term ‘left luggage’ is mostly being used in the UK. And luggage storage is a storage facility where people leave their luggage. Luggage storage is the most common name used internationally when referring to storing luggage. In other words, there is absolutely no difference between the two concepts. They are both defined by people’s need of storing luggage which can be collected at a later time. So whether you are looking for left luggage or luggage storage, LugaggeHero is here to take care of your belongings.

South Station and Boston luggage storage
Boston-South Station is the busiest transit hub in Boston. The historic train terminal opened in 1898 and now serves thousands of commuters, travelers, shoppers, and diners each day. Amtrak, MBTA rapid transit, and MBTA commuter rail all serve the station daily. It is located at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Summer Street in Dewey Square.
Several MBTA commuter rail lines, plus Amtrak’s Downeaster service to Maine, originate from the North Station located about 1.2 miles from South Station. There has not been a direct connection between the two stations since the closure of the Atlantic Avenue Elevated railway in 1938.
Things to do near South Station
South Station is just a few minutes away from Boston Public Garden, the first public botanical garden in America. Great walking path, statues, ponds, and lots of wildlife. You can drop off your bags at a LuggageHero location and go enjoy some fresh air in the park which is also rather COVID-friendly compared to other possible activities around the Station.
Located on the Congress Street Bridge, the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is an interactive floating museum. The uniqueness of the museum is that it sits on a canal boat. It gives a great snapshot of events that preceded the American Revolution.
Chinatown is just a few minutes away from South Station. The official entrance to this area is the well-known Chinatown Gate. The many markets offer several different types of traditional Chinese, Cambodian, Thai, Vietnamese, or Japanese food.
If you are not afraid of heights, try the Skywalk observatory, a sky-vantage point that offers a sweeping 360-degree view of the city center and beyond. It provides the best overview of Boston.

-
"LuggageHero, which offers online booking with a credit card — thus, eliminating the need for users to have local currency on hand — is one of the most recent players to expand its services. In December the company began operating in New York, where today it has some 250 locations."
-
"One solution is LuggageHero, which was already on the scene in Copenhagen and London, and has now expanded into New York. Its selling point is that it lets you store your luggage in a local shop, café or hotel, which is often more convenient than having to go to a storage facility at a train station."
-
"LuggageHero, which Jannik Lawaetz founded in 2016, currently has more than 300 storage locations in six cities (New York, London, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona) and plans to expand to 39 cities by January 2020."
-
"LuggageHero founder and chief executive Jannik Lawaetz says that the concept was inspired by that mother of invention — necessity — and Airbnb. A couple of years ago, he and his girlfriend rented an apartment in Barcelona via the home-share service. They had a later flight on their day of departure and wanted to continue exploring the city, but didn't want to lug their suitcases around. "
