Basilica di Santo Spirito
Basilica di Santo Spirito or Basilica of the Holy Spirit (or simply referred to as Santo Spirito) is a church in Florence, Italy, located in the Oltrarno Quarter.
Historically, the first structure was built in 1252 within city walls and it was surrounded by the Tuscan countryside. Not long after, the city walls started attracting migrants and with the construction of Santa Trinita bridge, and the area became more diverse and started to grow socially, politically and intellectually.
Today, the square around Santo Spirito is packed with markets, passing tourists and students of all ages throughout the day, but Piazza Santo Spirito really comes to life in the evening.
Local galleries, artisans, and boutiques begin to close for the night and the restaurants, cafés, and nightclubs start to open. If you have a few spare hours on any of your travel days, you might as well spend them enjoying all the different things Santo Spirito has to offer.
Conveniently, with one of our luggage storage locations just steps away from the church, you have the option of leaving your bags with us so you can fully enjoy this stunning area.
When you don’t have to drag your luggage around you have the option of visiting other spots around Florence on your arrival and departure day such as Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Mercato Centrale, San Lorenzo and San Marco among many others.
Sometimes the river keeps tourists from passing over to the other side to explore the streets of Oltrarno, however, if you do find the time to do so then you will not be sorry. And what better way to have that extra time than to let us hold onto your luggage so you can travel unencumbered and enjoy the beauty of the Basilica di Santo Spirito and its surroundings.

"LuggageHero, which offers online booking with a credit card — thus, eliminating the need for users to have local currency on hand — is one of the most recent players to expand its services. In December the company began operating in New York, where today it has some 250 locations."
-
"One solution is LuggageHero, which was already on the scene in Copenhagen and London, and has now expanded into New York. Its selling point is that it lets you store your luggage in a local shop, café or hotel, which is often more convenient than having to go to a storage facility at a train station."
-
"LuggageHero, which Jannik Lawaetz founded in 2016, currently has more than 300 storage locations in six cities (New York, London, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona) and plans to expand to 39 cities by January 2020."

"LuggageHero founder and chief executive Jannik Lawaetz says that the concept was inspired by that mother of invention — necessity — and Airbnb. A couple of years ago, he and his girlfriend rented an apartment in Barcelona via the home-share service. They had a later flight on their day of departure and wanted to continue exploring the city, but didn't want to lug their suitcases around. "
