Make sure that they have appropriate and secure pockets where you can keep the essentials. Some even have special compartments for running gels, apart from the usual zipped pocket.

Use a zippered wristband or armband

These are already quite popular among runners. Snugly fitted around your biceps, these bands can securely hold your phone, keys and even some money. If you do chose this option, consider switching to wireless headphones, so that you avoid having a cable swinging back and forth as you move your arms.

Buy a running belt

Not all runners feel comfortable with something ties around their arms. For those there is the alternative of buying a running belt. They fit perfectly around your waist, are big enough that you keep your phone, keys and money, but not so big so that you have a small pouch jiggling at your every step.

Turn your shoe into a wallet

Although the name might sound strange, it’s at least straightforward. A shoe wallet is a small pouch which can easily attach to your laces. Their big enough that you can keep your keys, cards or money in, but not so large that it affects your stride.
