From the emblematic “City of Arts and Sciences” leisure complex and the Cathedral of Valencia to the Barrio del Carmen neighborhood and the Central Market, which happens to be the biggest one in Europe, Valencia won’t disappoint you. Oh, wait, did we mention its fantastic sand beaches over 20km long? What more do you need to start planning your next trip there?

2. Porto

Porto is known for its long wine tradition, with vineyards and wineries spread throughout the Douro River Valley offering great wine experiences to visitors. There is also more to explore in this small yet charming Portuguese city. Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto in Portuguese) is situated in the upper part of Porto and is the most important religious building in the city. It has also been declared a National Monument and the 18th-century Clérigos Tower, the tallest campanile in Portugal. To the “must-see” list of Porto city, we can’t skip including a long walk to the Mercado do Bolhão. It has been a part of the city since 1914, the Livraria Lello & Irmão one of Europe’s most impressive libraries as well as a visit the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal, which will serve you with mouth-dropping views of the city. Visiting Porto this summer can be a delight, and we recommend you do so.

3. Marseille

Founded around 600 BC by Greek settlers from Phocaea, Marseille is the oldest city in France. That said, this city can offer unique spots of interest for a relaxing weekend getaway. The best place to start your visit in Marseille is the old town with the picturesque neighborhoods and the colorful low-ceiling houses, the oldest part of the city and the most multicultural one, accessible through Vieux Port (Old Harbor). The latter is part of the old town and a hotspot for tourists, where they can take photos, enjoy fresh fish, and watch the beautiful sunset while boats and ferries come and go. If the weather is on your side, a relaxing boat ride to the beautiful Calanques between Marseille and Cassis is a huge must when visiting the city, especially in the summer. There are numerous opportunities for activities such as cycling, renting kayaks, hiking, or even just admiring the stunning views while drinking your cocktail.
