Stations in Boston that offers luggage storage

Rowes Wharf Water Taxi Terminal

Rowes Wharf is open from 7 am to 5 pm 7 days a week between November 1st and April 30th. From May 1st until October 31st, they operate from 7 am to 10 pm Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 8 pm.

Luggage is stored in their downtown Boston Office. You’ll have 3 options store your luggage which also includes transportation to the airport. Pricings rage from $25 to $28.

South Station, Boston

You’ll find an option to store luggage in the Train Terminal: Teddy Ballgames.  The office is located at the front of the station and is operational from 7 am to 7 pm from Monday through Friday. During the weekends, Saturday and Sunday, they operate from 9 am to 5 pm. Store your luggage for $10 per bag for up to 24 hours, within limits of their operating schedule. You will need to pay in cash, but there’s an ATM machine in the station’s 1st floor waiting area. Call 617-526-1842 to confirm hours.

Amtrak Luggage Storage

If you are traveling with Amtrak, they’ll hold your luggage, just ask one of the “Red Cap” employees to help you. Both South and North Station can help you store your bags.

Greyhound Package Express

The Greyhound package Express is located on the 5th floor of the bus terminal and offer luggage storage during business hours. No overnight storage is allowed. Operational hours are Monday through Friday 7 am to 8 pm. Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm. Please note that any items must be picked up 15 minutes prior to closing.


You might be lucky to stay in a hotel willing to store your bags. This is a great option if you need a little more time to look around the area where your hotel is located. If you want to explore places away from your hotel, it’s possible that some hotels will let you store your bags for a fee even if you are not a guest. However, it’s not all hotels that offer this service to people who are not staying at the hotel, but it never hurts to ask!

Frequent Traveler Hotel

If you have a frequent traveler status with any of the large hotel chains located in Boston or even right at the airport, call the hotel directly and see if they will store your bags for you for a few hours.

Luggage storage at museums and galleries

If you’re going to store luggage for more than just a few hours it’s sometimes cheaper to use self-storage facilities at museums and galleries. It’s also a great excuse to experience a cultural aspect in Boston!
